The Mid-Valley Bicycle Club (MVBC, www.mvbc.com) lists its key public policy statements here.  These policies apply to the MVBC, and to any volunteers, partners or affiliates acting on its behalf.

Note that we may amend these policies from time to time by posting revised versions and updating the “Last updated” date above, and in the affected policy section(s) below.  The revised version will be effective at the time we post it.

This Privacy Policy (addressable at privacy.mvbc.com) briefly describes what information MVBC collects when you use our Digital Services, how we collect it, what we do with it, and how we secure access to it.  Our Digital Services include our website, online data & information storage solutions, email service and other applications and technology,

By using our Digital Services, you accept the terms of this Privacy Policy and consent to the use, disclosure and retention of your information as we describe it here, and for any other purpose required by law.

We collect information you provide to us, when you communicate with us in various ways, including: when you send email to us, complete a comment or registration form, or make a payment to MVBC for a donation, event ticket or otherwise.

The kinds of information we collect about you includes your:

• Name,
• Age,
• Email Address,
• Mailing Address,
• Phone Number, and
• Financial Transaction Information, including: descriptions, devices & payment methods used to complete the transactions, where the transactions occur, dates & amounts.

We use Square, Inc. (www.square.com) as a payment services provider.  We do not collect bank account and payment card numbers or Social Security numbers, and this kind of financial information is not available to us through our account with Square.

MVBC’s website and Digital Services are not aimed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect or retain any personal information from children under the age of 13.

Certain MVBC Digital Services, including our website and email system are implemented with Google tools, including those available through Google G Suite for Business and Google Domains.

MVBC does not use or manage its own cookies or other tracking technologies.  In particular, we are not using either Google Analytics or Google Webmaster Tools for tracking or website analytics on our web properties.

We may use information about you to pursue our Objectives and Purposes, as specified in our bylaws, and to further develop our Digital Services.  Examples of this include:

• Communicating with you about donations or event ticket purchases, including receipts, tax notices and thank you messages;
• Updating you about MVBC projects and activities (you may opt-out of such communications by contacting us at the address listed below);

MVBC does not share or sell contact lists or personal contact information or other personally identifiable information to third parties.  In some cases we may share aggregated information or other non personally identifiable information.  We may also share information with a third-party if you specifically authorize us to do so, or if we are required to by law.

MVBC Digital Services are provided through accounts we maintain with online service providers, including

• Google = Google G Suite for Business including G Suite (Website, Storage, Apps) & Google Domains (Domain Name Registration & Management)
• Square = Payment Service Provider
• BikeReg & SignMeUp = Event Registration Services

Access to these accounts is secured with Google 2-Step, Dropbox 2-Step and Square 2-Step verification methods, respectively.  You may read further about the security of these services at:
